From existing fabric
to a new perspective.
For CreativQuartier Fürst Leopold, Ralf Ehlert developed ideas for reusing the listed buildings and 53 hectares of open land in his roles as Managing Director of Prisma Immobilien GmbH, Managing Director and shareholder of TeDo GmbH, and Managing Director of Prisma Projekt and Ruhrstadt Galerien.
Working with RAG Immobilien, formerly MGG, the remit included bringing mining-law obligations to an end and adapting the preparatory land-use plan. Together with the City of Dorsten, the development plan for the location was prepared.
As press spokesperson for the Tempelmann Group, Ralf Ehlert regularly communicated the development and presented plans to the Dorsten City Council, among others. The former colliery site has become a quarter for art, culture, hospitality and business.

From brownfield site to healthcare destination.
The project on Herner Straße shows how a long-unused site was transformed step by step into a new destination. The image series provided by REC traces the development through to its completed use by the Grönemeyer Institute.

A site in search of a new purpose
The approximately 17,500-square-metre site at Herner Straße and Rensingstraße remained unused for an extended period after its previous use ended.
Healthcare as a viable new use
A vision emerged for a medical centre accommodating the Grönemeyer Institute and additional outpatient services.

From clearance to construction
Following demolition and site clearance, the first construction phase was delivered, including a multi-storey car park.
